Arecibo8

"yeah very militairy sounding"

submission: Arecibo8
date: August 25, 2008

it does sound much like a march to war but thesort of helicopter sound fading in and out i think i can hearmakesit more technoey.

the composition is very professional and i like the way the layers build up. however it gets a bit boring andi think there shold be a proper drop at some point where the music speeds up a bit.

still its good song

The dark light - Mjattie

"loud"

date: August 25, 2008

the change of dynamics startled me. This song reminds me of the ocean maybe because all the crashing type sounds and the echoes and the beginning. But i think it could do with a stronger drumbeat.

i like the quier echoeypano part in the middle and how it slowly transcends into being loud again.

quite a nice song overall

Author's Response:

you know, loudness can be handled by turning the volume knob down :P.... Well, it's a matter of taste, isn't it? And I like the drum beat personally not too loud, but well, that's an opinion. Though thanks for the review :)

Serenade of Storms

"very nice"

submission: Serenade of Storms

im not into this kind of music but it was quite epic. i think it wouldnt be wrongly placed in a film, not just a flash movie. i liked the climax and the way it turned quiet again. youre obviously very talented.

well done

"not bad"

date: August 23, 2008

oh yeah very trancey

reminds me of christmas for some reason

I like the tempo changes and the echoes but im not sure if i like the little static bits near the beginning, try take em out. and yeah i dont think the drums at the start fit the rest of the song, theyre too choppy while the rest flows really well

[W] - Love Letters (FLC edit)

"Once again, quite good."

date: April 4, 2007

Very nice wave effects with a slightly weird piano riff that still worked well. Drums were in time and only managed to improve this. As in the last audio I reviewed for you the echoes are effecitve and right on time so consider them your speciality for now.

Blending those guitars after the piano part had finished sounded good and was rather relaxing. Keep up stuff like this and you'll build yourself a reputation. Overall, a very relaxing trach that I enojoyed listening purely for your ability to blend different instruments and chords together well.

[W] - Gimme Da Beet

"Above average I'd say"

date: April 4, 2007

Did you mean to spell "beat" wrong? Anyhow this was a good dance track, pretty catchy and simple. At the beggining it was looking all a bit simple but as in many tracks it gained depth and layers towards the end so it sounded better.

The main riff was a bit annoying but I love those echoes and the jamaican voice chanting in the background. Drumbeat also worked well so yeah this is a good track. On the verge of an 8.

When I fall in Love

"Nice and slow"

date: March 26, 2007

I like it. Very classy, quite original. Not a lot of people try stuff like this but you have and succeded with ease. The title isn't exactly great but I can't complain.

I don't have time to hear your earlier stuff but if you haven't tried a more up-beat type of jazz I suggest you do so becasue I'm guessing you're capable of it and I guess it will sound fantastic. Keep the music coming.

(SM64) Sleeping Piranha Plant

"Relaxing"

date: February 3, 2007

(- The Good -)

A very calming song that sounds pretty cool aswell. Very precise, not just randomly created.
It wasn't exactly "original" or "innovative" but I haven't heard much else like it so well odne on that.

(- The Bad -)

Needs to be more varied, or diverse as they say here. Don't get me wrong, the song is nice but gets boring after a while because of the lack of change throughout it.

(-- Overall --)

Another good song from you. A different style this time and it worked well although I can't remember the root of the music from Mario as you mentioned...

Sleeping piranha plant in the worlds in Super Mario 64... when you slowly pass a piranha plant, right? but I suppose you've either never played it or just jump on them while they're asleep... you cruel man :P

The Apple Song

"meh"

submission: The Apple Song
date: January 20, 2007

Well the guitar tune is awesome, but there are no other instruments in there. What about a drum beat, or some backing chords? Just one rhythm is not enough to make an entire song. Also the sound quality was pretty poor, so also work on that. I wish you luck in your future music career.

Death March/Death Bell

"Cool"

date: January 16, 2007

Spooky, but repetetive. I liked it a lot, it would be good for a horror film. Loving those deep bell chimes.

Author's Response:

Horror? Maybe a night scene in a war movie.

Up to you. :P
